Freedom of Speech

I’m not saying that Sarah Palin ordered the attack by placing crosshairs markings on a map, which depicted, among other places, Gabrielle Giffords’ district in Tucson, Arizona. I’m not saying Sarah Palin met with that crazy guy Loughner, or exchanged emails with him, or spoke to him at a “right-wing nut” rally. I’m not saying any of that. What I am saying is that the symbol of a gun-sighting was placed on a map to symbolize a congressional district represented by a human being. What I am saying is that Sarah Palin is one irresponsible person, whose decision it was to approve that map with gun-sightings representing political targets to take out of Congress…that is incredibly irresponsible. At the very least, we should refrain from gun-symbolism regarding politics. Like we shouldn’t say “I’ve got you in my crosshairs.” And maps with crosshairs on them sound like a bad idea, too. Don’t you think?
