President Barack Obama = Universal Health Care

Hey America,

Can we have an intelligent conversation about medical costs for all of us, and how insurance costs play into the overall costs for hospital visits, children’s care, prescription medicine and routine check-ups?

“If I were starting a system from scratch, then I think that the idea of moving towards a single-payer system could very well make sense,” Obama said. “That’s the kind of system that you have in most industrialized countries around the world. The only problem is that we’re not starting from scratch.”

What a historic accomplishment. Thank you for Universal Health Care, President Obama. It was not easy to accomplish. Many presidents have tried and failed, but you succeeded.

If you (reader) think Universal Health Care is a good thing, then pay attention. The Republicans have a target on President Obama’s back. A fully loaded health care harangue may be the weapon of choice to dispense the arrows of invective aimed at a political red bull’s-eye.

The Republicans want to make Universal Health Care a failure. The program hasn’t even taken effect yet. Most Americans want Universal Health Care, and the Republicans have a plan to take away what most Americans want.

Boehner appeared to take issue with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, who has said Republicans’ top goal should be ensuring Obama is a one-term president.

“That’s Senator McConnell’s statement and his opinion,” Boehner said. “I think the American people want us to focus on their message during the election: stop the spending, get rid of the uncertainty. Let’s get around to creating jobs again and staying focused on what the American people want us to focus on is my number one priority.”

“The American people are concerned about the government takeover of healthcare,” [Boehner] said. “I think it is important for us to lay the groundwork before we begin to repeal this monstrosity and replace it with common-sense reforms that will bring down the cost of healthcare insurance in America.”

Ask yourself (reader) do you want affordable Health Care?
