Open Letter to TechTicker

What a bunch of bullsh*t on your show this morning.

False claim #1:

Nobody wants to/ can borrow because everyone is awash in debt.

Wrong: I have a friend who has been turned down by 5 lending institutions (mostly banks) for a $ 1 million dollar  loan for a newly constructed house; and he has excellent credit.

Problem: The banks are not lending.

I repeat: the banks are not lending.

* Yeah, the banks that We, the People, bailed out with $700 billion of our taxpayers’ money…these banks who so graciously accepted our largesse are now refusing to return the favor. That’s not right. It’s immoral. It’s unconscionable. It’s Wall Street.

False claim #2:

The Stock Market Crash of 1929 did not cause the Great Depression. The Depression caused the Crash.

Wrong: Harding, Coolidge, Hoover – all Republican Presidents served in office from 1919 to 1933. People jumped out of windows. People lost their life savings. There were no safety nets like Unemployment Insurance and Social Security and Medicare, all of which were brought into our country’s well-being by Democratic President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Tell that Minyanville-guy to stop lying on TV (I am restraining myself from using bar language). That is completely appalling what falsehoods he aired on the internet this morning.

Sincerely, your  fellow American
