America the Entrepreneurial

The idea is that We, the People, can contribute to the betterment of this great country. Each one of us can use our unique talents and skills to benefit the majority, while still paying our taxes.

An entrepreneur could be a small business ownerthe backbone of the American economy. That small business owner, he or she, could run a graphic design shop or a clothing boutique or a solar-electric installation crew.

Instead of having a country where we are all forced to a life of servitude in the corporate beehive, clacking away at keyboards in our cubicles to push paper or product for a company and a purpose we don’t care about…back by popular demand we again have “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Americans can use their entrepreneurial spirit to build up their own small businesses, which may include composing and/ or performing music for paying customers…and still have access to affordable health care.

* Remember, the health care insurance companies were ripping us off and denying coverage.

Thanks to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the Democratic-majority Congress, Americans have the basic right to affordable health care.

Beware of the Demagogues from the Conservative Media. Here’s how they twist and contort, distort and deceive.

Another example of an Ignorant Conservative, who chooses to call himself or herself “Culture Crusader”:

Pelosi to Young Americans: Tune In, Turn On, Drop Out; We Got Your Back [Conjecture & Exaggeration explained below]

“This week, that great thinker and illustrious leader of ours, Nancy Pelosi, had this to say about one of the many benefits of her new healthcare legislation:

‘We see it as an entrepreneurial bill.  A bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care.

[Here’s where the Conjecture & Exaggeration starts]

So in other words, for all you kids out there (and by that we mean adults in your twenties), no need to be productive, just tune in, turn on, drop out and the government’s got your back.  It’s easy to see how Nancy can relate to this, being an old hippie chick herself.  You know, Haight-Ashbury and all that. For the hippies of the 1960s, and for those who are still living that dream (most of whom are still in San Francisco), that was the way to go.  It was the cool thing to drop out, smoke weed, get high and take up the bongos or guitar; then go hang out at Woodstock or somewhere and protest the war or whatever was the latest thing going around on campus.

But of course back then things were a little different.  Back then you had those good old capitalist pigs Mom and Dad to take care of things for you.  You see, in the 1960s your parents still made their money the old fashioned way: they earned it.  But today, the hippies are Mom and Dad.  And with Big Nanny Nancy in charge, they’re also running the country.  And guess what, they make their money the old fashioned way too: taxing the American citizens.  That’s how the new healthcare law works!  Ain’t socialism just grand!”

* Remember, George W. Bush came into office with a $200 billion surplus (a projected $5.7 Trillion surplus over 10 years)…and then started a false war in Iraq that cost taxpayers $700 billion (and counting). Then Bush Treasury Secretary, Hank Paulson, bailed out his banker buddies with another $700 billion of taxpayers’ money. The Bush Tax Cuts for the superwealthy cost another $1 Trillion, so that Bush left our country  with a deficit.

– The Great Recession is the result of Republican Party Rule.

– The Democrats are cleaning up the multiple messes left behind by George W. Bush and the Republicans.
