George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, et al. committed Crimes Against Humanity

Members of the Bush administration should  be put on trial, in the United States or at the Hague, for knowingly starting a false war in Iraq. The idea of preemptive attack started with a Conservative Think Tank, Project for the New American Century, headed up by William Kristol, who offered preemption as an idea to President Clinton, who turned it down. However, Bush took the idea of preemptive war, and ran with it.

Iraq posed us no threat. Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. Iraq had no ties to al Qaeda previous to our invasion. Iraq had no Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs).

Iraq does have the 3rd largest proven oil reserves on the planet.

Halliburton and other politically connected contractors made billions of dollars in profit (from taxpayers’ money). Halliburton moved its headquarters from Houston, Texas to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East…to avoid paying taxes. Yep, the company took our tax dollars and then refused to pay taxes later.

Oh, Halliburton also failed in its mission–less oil flowed out of Iraq for the first 4 years of our occupation. But maybe that was the plan…less oil on the market makes the price go up! Maybe that’s why we saw $4 per gallon at the pump. Halliburton was also found guilty of overcharging the U.S. government for its services.

-4,000-plus U.S. soldiers gave their lives in Iraq

-possibly more than 100,000 Iraqi civilians lost their lives due to the Bush-led U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq

-from 2003 to 2008, we spent $700 billion-plus on the Iraq War alone…and we did not get anything positive in return for it
