People are surprisingly unpredictable. I have this theory about 50/50. At every moment of every day every person has the chance to do something self-serving or self-sacrificing. Angelica says, “Most people would take advantage, wouldn’t they?” And I told her to try it.

Because we affect the world through our energy. When we respond with a self-sacrificing gesture–holding the door open or waving somebody into the lane of traffic ahead of you with a smile–we influence the environment instantaneously. You can feel it. It’s an energy transference. We’re shaking up air molecules, light molecules, and forming the energy matrix around us.

And it’s not just other people. It’s you. It’s me. I have to check myself every moment of every day. To do more good than bad in a day sometimes requires self-sacrifice. And that’s OK. Whatever makes the air molecules flow more smoothly.

Try it. For yourself and for others. 50/50. People will pleasantly surprise you if you let ’em. And sometimes they/ we/ you/ me can be total assholes.  Maybe it’s a bad hair day. Maybe a personal loss just happened.

50/50. It’s the least we can do for each other.

Give your fellow human being the benefit of the doubt, and then let he/ she respond. But do your best to set up your fellow human beings for success. Don’t be a sandbagger/ saboteur.

It’s better to be self-sacrificing than self-serving. It’s good for the soul  to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Giving requires receiving.

Reciprocation requires both.

Give and Take.

Sharing the Earth.

Sharing the World.

Stay on your toes. There are some crazy people out there. Way more cool people, though.

Shake your ass, but watch ya self.

This is so true. Every single word. Thank you for being aware and conscious of all of this, and also for actually putting it out there. You really inspire me. Thank you.
